в OpenWRT пока не работает, правда не очень понятно почему, ведь они используют бинарные драйвера из прошивки Асус, также как и Олег. Скачал исходники прошивки Олега, вроде есть упоминания про 802.11n. Попробую в выходные залить.

802.11n не пробовал – ибо нет 2-го устройства поддерживающего этот стандарт.
Но IMHO Олег не касался драйверов WiFi вообще – так что не вижу причин почему должно не работать
